She's not mine, but I'm assuming he got the name from the electrical resonant transformer circuit invented by Nikola Tesla around 1891 that shoots out bolts of high-current electricity.

Yeah, that's a question for the creator really. However, that does explain to me where they actually came from and where the creators of C&C got inspiration from to use them as Soviet weaponry in the game.

I actually never got to play the command and conquer that involved those at all, as much as I would like haha. I actually was indeed inspired by what DILeak said haha, i wanted a pony who could mess around with electricity, and at times have her experiments go wrong and get zapped for it. Tesla Coil... just fit as a name Haha
